flexibleleagues – liability waiver & assumption of risk

by registering for or participating in any flexibleleagues activity, event, match, or league, you (“participant”) agree to the terms of this liability waiver and assumption of risk. if you do not agree, do not register or participate.

 

 

1. voluntary participation

 

you understand that participation in pickleball, tennis, and any other sports or recreational activities offered by flexibleleagues is completely voluntary. by registering, you confirm that you are participating of your own free will.

 

 

2. acknowledgment of risks

 

you understand and acknowledge that sports activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

 

• slips, falls, sprains, and strains

• collisions with players or equipment

• impact from balls or paddles

• uneven or damaged playing surfaces

• weather-related hazards

• equipment malfunction

• potential serious injury or death

 

you accept these risks as a normal part of athletic participation.

 

 

3. assumption of responsibility

 

you agree that:

 

• you are physically able to participate

• you have no medical conditions that would make participation unsafe

• you are responsible for any personal equipment you use

• you will follow all rules, instructions, and safety guidelines

 

you understand that you, not flexibleleagues, are responsible for assessing your own physical ability and safety.

 

 

4. release of liability

 

to the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless:

 

flexibleleagues, its owners, organizers, employees, volunteers, partners, and associated facilities

 

from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, damages, costs, or causes of action arising from:

 

• injury or illness

• property loss or damage

• accidents or incidents

• negligence (ordinary, not gross)

• participation in any flexibleleagues activity

 

this release applies even if the injury or damage is caused by others participating in the activity.

 

 

5. indemnification

 

you agree to indemnify and defend flexibleleagues against any claims brought by:

 

• other participants

• facility owners

• spectators

• partners or teammates

 

if those claims arise because of your actions, negligence, or rule violations.

 

 

6. facilities & third-party locations

 

many events occur on courts or facilities not owned or controlled by flexibleleagues.

you understand those locations have their own risks and rules, and flexibleleagues is not liable for the condition or maintenance of those facilities.

 

 

7. photo & video usage (optional but recommended)

 

you acknowledge that flexibleleagues may take photos or videos during events for marketing, social media, or promotional purposes.

you grant permission for your image to be used without compensation.

8. medical treatment

 

in the event of an injury, you authorize flexibleleagues to obtain basic first aid or emergency medical treatment on your behalf if necessary.

you agree that you are responsible for any resulting medical expenses.

 

 

9. knowing & voluntary agreement

 

by registering, checking the agreement box, paying, or participating, you confirm that:

 

• you have read this waiver

• you understand it

• you agree to it voluntarily

• you are 18 or older

 

this waiver remains in effect for all flexibleleagues activities you participate in.
